I know SPMC is supposed to be Shield optimised but it seems that's all 'under the hood' type stuff that if you don't really need it makes the need for SPMC questionable, for me at least. I've also got used to, and vastly prefer, the Estuary skin of Kodi vs the Confluence skin of SPMC which I find much less user friendly. Kodi 17 I have found also works very well even with the Shield Remote

Thanks for still dedicating your time to a Android build of kodi. As a shield owner myself I can only appreciate this. Question: always used kodi 16.x and now switched to SPMC, but during the scraping it's the first time I ever heard the cooler on full speed from my Shield TV.
